Day 1: Rwanda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day in Kigali, Rwanda, with a fulfilling breakfast at your hotel. Your professional safari guide will meet you for a briefing about the journey ahead. Before crossing into Uganda, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to gain insight into the tragic events of 1994, spending approximately 1.5 to 2 hours at the site. Afterwards, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, enjoying scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and Uganda’s lush landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in at Bakiga Lodge, your comfortable base near the park, perfect for your gorilla trekking adventure.
