Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport – Transfer to Hotel

Upon landing at Kigali International Airport, complete customs and immigration procedures. A friendly Jango Gates Adventures guide will greet you and assist with your transfer to Hotel des Mille Collines for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

After breakfast, check out and travel to Rwanda’s Western Province. On the way, stop at the Royal Palace Museum and the Ethnographic Museum in the Southern Province to learn about traditional Rwandan culture and historical leadership. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving at Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy your hotel’s facilities.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest

Start the day with freshly brewed African coffee, then head into Nyungwe National Park, home to 13 primate species. After an introductory briefing, embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure, spending about an hour observing these remarkable creatures.

After lunch, continue with the canopy walk—a 70-meter-high suspended bridge offering breathtaking forest views. On fortunate days, you may spot more primates along the way. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Colobus Monkey Trek, Tea Plantation Visit, and Lake Kivu – Gisenyi

After breakfast, return to the park for a guided colobus monkey trek, capturing plenty of photos along the way. Afterward, enjoy lunch before checking out of your hotel. Visit the Gisakura Tea Gardens to learn about tea farming, harvesting, and processing.

Continue your journey to Lake Kivu, taking in the scenic countryside. Upon arrival, unwind and enjoy a night-fishing experience with local fishermen before returning to Paradis Malahide Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Kivu Sunrise Boat Cruise and Return to Kigali

Begin the day with a serene boat cruise on Lake Kivu to watch the sunrise and explore the lake’s islands, home to thousands of bats. Enjoy birdwatching, spotting species such as cormorants, pied kingfishers, weaver birds, and herons.

Later, drive back to Kigali and transfer to the airport for your departure, concluding this memorable safari experience. We look forward to welcoming you on your next adventure.
