Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, City Exploration and Genocide Memorial Visit

Upon arriving in Rwanda, you will be welcomed by our Jango Gates Adventures guide at Kigali International Airport. The guide will have your name displayed on an A4 sheet. Your day begins with a city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Site to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience.

Next, travel to Musanze to visit the Dian Fossey Center and gain insight into the work of the famous primatologist. In the evening, unwind at your mid-range hotel in Ruhengeri, reflecting on the day’s experiences.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park and Cultural Visit

Begin the day with breakfast before heading to Volcanoes National Park. At the park headquarters, attend a briefing on gorilla trekking. Once prepared, embark on an exciting trek to locate gorilla families in their natural environment.

Volcanoes National Park is home to twelve habituated gorilla groups, including silverbacks, females, and young gorillas, offering a truly memorable wildlife encounter. After trekking, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Center to enjoy traditional Rwandan music and dance while learning about local customs.

Return to Classic Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kigali, Market Visit and Departure
