Tour Plan

Day 1: Akagera National Park

A representative will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. After a briefing on the day’s activities, drive to Akagera National Park. Begin your first game drive to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and hyenas. The park is also home to numerous antelope species such as bushbucks, topis, oribis, waterbucks, and the magnificent cape eland. Pause for lunch at your lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive to discover more animals and enjoy the scenic landscapes. Akagera’s mix of savannah, woodlands, and wetlands offers countless photo opportunities.

Day 2: Akagera to Lake Kivu

After breakfast, depart for Kibuye on the shores of Lake Kivu. The journey showcases Rwanda’s lush hills blanketed with eucalyptus and pine trees. Upon arrival, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Kivu, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding green hills. Afterward, relax by the lakeside or explore the area with a nature walk. Kibuye’s tranquil setting provides a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection.

Day 3: Lake Kivu to Kigali
