Tour Plan

Day 1: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Musanze

Begin your adventure with a historical tour of Kigali. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, where over 259,000 victims are commemorated. Explore Kigali Solaire, Stade Régionale, and the Dr. Richard Kandt Museum to learn about Rwanda’s colonial history and the Belgian camp tragedy during the genocide. After lunch, travel to Bugesera to visit the Reconciliation Village, where survivors and perpetrators now coexist peacefully. Continue to the genocide churches at Nyamata and Ntarama, witnessing the solemn sites where thousands lost their lives.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park for your gorilla trekking adventure. Complete the park’s registration and briefing before heading into the forest. Trek through the lush alpine forest of the Virunga slopes in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, enjoy up to an hour observing these magnificent gentle giants in their natural habitat. The trek can take several hours, depending on terrain and weather, making it a challenging but rewarding experience. After the trek, return to Kigali, concluding your safari.
