Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli

Begin your adventure with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. Travel south towards Amboseli National Park, enjoying scenic landscapes along the route. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and take some time to unwind before the afternoon activities.

Later in the day, embark on an exciting game drive until approximately 6:00 p.m. The cooler hours make wildlife sightings more likely. Witness majestic elephants roaming freely with the spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: AA Lodge Amboseli (Mid-range lodge just outside the park)

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli

Start the day early with a morning game drive from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., when animals are most active. Enjoy the sunrise as it illuminates the savannah and observe wildlife in their natural routines.

Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some rest. Later, venture out for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Explore various parts of the park, where animals often gather near water sources. Look out for elephants, buffalo, lions, and zebras. While big cats are harder to spot during the heat of the day, the evening provides better chances.

Bird enthusiasts can delight in spotting some of the park’s 470 bird species, including raptors and migratory birds. With such diversity, your day is packed with memorable wildlife encounters.

Conclude the day with dinner at the lodge and an overnight stay.
