Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast in Nairobi, set off northwards toward Samburu National Reserve. The route takes you through Thika, surrounded by lush tea and coffee plantations, and across scenic terrain with flowing streams. Continue past Nanyuki to Isiolo, the gateway to Kenya’s rugged Northern Frontier. Arrive at Samburu in time for lunch and check into your lodge.

Later in the afternoon, embark on your first game drive. Enjoy the reserve’s dramatic landscapes as you spot wildlife and take in the sunset’s warm glow.

Day 2: Explore Samburu National Reserve

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in search of Samburu’s remarkable wildlife. Look out for the famous “Samburu Special Five”—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx.
